This European-inspired bridal fashion editorial just outside of Los Angeles, at Pasadena City Hall California, was filled with old-world charm and evocative elegance. Choosing between Europe or California doesn’t always have to exclusive of the other. One of my favorite aspects of living in Southern California, as a destination wedding photographer, is the opportunity to photograph places that feel European-inspired and fashion forward and yet, are local.
When I am not photographing a wedding on the weekends, photographing an editorial keeps my craft sharp and my art fresh. Plus, it’s always a fun “work day” to get creative, push boundaries, and photograph a new bridal look with no pressure of a timeline. This editorial was exaclty that thanks to the lovely Naomi Bennet Design for planning all the details and collaboration with the New York City Kleinfeld bridal boutique.

City Hall in Pasadena evokes that sense of wanderlust you find in the cathedrals of Spain or Portugal with gorgeous architecture, the perfect golden sunset light, and luxurious landscaping throughout. The bridal look featured foliage appliqué, with adjustable sleeves, and the monochrome bouquet of sweet peas complimented the overall look.
