Long distance.
Man it’s hard.
And only if you’ve been through it yourself can you fully understand.
The ache in your heart.
The constant distraction that begs to be numbed.
It’s the relationship status that gives the highest highs and deepest lows…
Because it’s all in the little things.
Like being pulled close – until his heart beat is softly felt and heard.
Proof that yeah, he’s right there. Right there with you.
Meet Christine and Brandon.
My sister-in-law and her husband to be (THIS WEEKEND).
They were childhood friends.
But a family move to Chicago & adulthood had a funny way of making 10 years pass.
That is, until Brandon found himself “…just driving through Kansas City,” last fall.
A few messages were sent back and forth.
A few “should I be reading in between the lines here?…” thoughts were pondered.
And then a baseball game (aka the perfect opportunity for a longer, deeper, conversation), made – as some could soon say – history.
All the epic Kansas City landmarks had either personal significance or were on their bucket list to see & experience together. So obviously Christine & Brandon’s engagement session meant just that.
We hopped on and off the trolley all afternoon, swapping stories as we went.
Dear Christine & Brandon,
Some will tell you that marriage is hard. But we disagree.
It’s the best thing in the world. It’s the most fun. It’s the sweetest.
Long distance does something funny – it makes you cherish the times when you are together. Life might throw you lemons, but now, you’ll have each other. And that’s a big, big deal.
Thank you for letting us share in your story, speak into your life as you have to ours, and for the fun Nashville road trips, ice creams in West Port, inside jokes, and the long phone calls in between. THE BEST IS YET TO COME.
….in TWO days.
Love you! — Tara & Stephen
Can’t wait to celebrate these two at their intimate, beach wedding in Michigan this weekend!
Keep your eyes peeled over on the Insta for sneaks!
Always,
–Tara M
