We sat down at a new church just a few blocks from our apartment. Andrew struck up a friendly conversation and soon, Allison slid into the pew next to him.
I noted her ring and that sparkle in her eye.
Turns out we had gone to the wrong church that day (we got our addresses confused while trying to meet up with another friend), but I believe all things happen for a reason.
Numbers were exchanged and soon, My Love and I soon found ourselves exploring Soulard and hearing more of Andrew & Allison’s love story.
They met online and soon enough Andrew found himself on a plane to Portland, Oregon, to meet Allison in person.
It didn’t take long for them to know.
Over tacos (Mission Taco, anyone?) prior to their engagement session, Allison laughingly explained,
“It wasn’t scary or hard.
He visited and
we decided I should just pack my things and move
…so I did.
I guess that’s crazy to some people.”

I don’t think either of us anticipated a new friendship that Sunday. But can I just say that I’m really grateful? Thank you for chatting it up, exploring this new city with us, and being vulnerable enough to share your love story with nearly complete strangers. Your Portland wedding is just a few months away and I can’t wait to see & hear all about it. And guys, the best is truly yet to come! Marriage is wonderful and worth the wait & all that planning.
