The leaves curled up to catch the rain drops soon approaching – transforming vibrant colors of summer to moodier, more evoking hues. Geese paddled by and you could hear nature’s way of hushing unneeded sounds as the wind flirted its way through the historic landmarks scattered throughout. A vintage dress, the clicking of red heels, and two broad grins soon met us. As we hugged for the first time in person at Tower Grove Park, nothing about it felt “new.” No, these were old friends.
In January my phone buzzed.
It was Laura.
And it was the awaited, tearful photo.

Meet Laura & Brian.
A couple who, with their jovial laughs and expressive eyes, tell of what it means to be young and in love. The two met in October, knew they wanted to be married by December, and began wedding planning soon after. “We are hopeless romantics through and through. If it looks like it could come out of a Hallmark movie, that’s us and our type of love story. We’re untraditional and want our wedding day to be filled with romance & meaningful moments. Really, we just want to hold each other’s hands…” they said. In January my phone buzzed. It was Laura. And it was the awaited, tearful photo. Laura & Brian holding hands to show the sparkling addition it held. It’s not everyday that our couples book us prior to getting engaged, but goodness it’s exciting!
Together, they shopped for the perfect outfits, went to the salon to have their hair done and then shared a glass of wine. The impending rain made it all the more thrilling and movie-like. And as Brian kept saying, “This is so fun! I love doing this with you, Laura!!” we couldn’t agree more…

The way you love each other so thoughtfully, so tenderly…honestly it makes us melt! How good it is to be in love – to have found the one whom your soul loves. Journeying and celebrating each of these milestone moments (dreaming of all the romantic, sappy things for your Big Day AND being one of the first you told when Brian popped the question) with you two has been a joy. We are ecstatic for you and all the adventures that are yet to come!! We can’t wait to see how your fairytale continues to unfold – from your romantic, intimate wedding day this fall to your Hallmark inspired honeymoon in the vineyards, and all your “firsts” as Husband and Wife to follow.
