The breeze blew gently as we made our way up the hill and around the bend. You could hear the excitement. The pounding of his heart. Her dress brushing along the path.
This was it. Her eyes filled and with me, she drew a deep breath.
With a sudden burst he half turned around before she yelled, “NOT YET!” The laughs erupted and the rest of the day melted into one giggle after another.
There is much to be impressed about Janeth & Will’s modern & chic wedding day. The tears were, surprisingly, plentiful and the overwhelming joy was palpable. The sass from the wedding party, the uproars from the toasts & speeches, and every intentional & elegant detail was nothing short of memorable. But the real magic? For us, the real magic is in the quiet, mostly unseen gestures. The glances. The eyes – betraying the truest emotions.
“…as if there was a neon sign blinking his thoughts:
DANG. This is MY woman!!”
The entire day, Will never left Janeth’s side. If he wasn’t holding her hand, brushing her hair back, or asking if her shoes were okay, he held onto her in some other way. Even if that meant clutching masses of tulle as they walked around the city. Among all those Hayley Paige appliquéd beaded roses, he leaned in for kisses. It always touches us with how each new husband grabs that bouquet and a big bunch of dress to help.
But what really caught our attention? Full of admiration and as if there was a neon sign blinking his thoughts – “Dang. This is my woman!!” – Will’s eyes & whispers revealed all.
“You look so beautiful.
It’s okay, I got your dress.
I’m right here. I got you, Janeth.”
Over and over and over again.
